Day 1Guwahati to Bhalukpong
Pickup at Guwahati, drive through Assam's tea belt to Bhalukpong on the Arunachal border.
Day 2Bhalukpong to Dirang
Enter Arunachal, drive via Tenga valley to Dirang. Visit Dirang Dzong and the hot water springs.
Day 3Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass
Cross Sela Pass (4,170 m) and Paradise Lake, Jaswantgarh War Memorial and Nuranang Falls before Tawang.
Day 4Tawang Monastery Day
Tawang Monastery, Tawang War Memorial, craft centre, Urgelling Gompa and Ani Gompa nunnery.
Day 5Bum La Pass & Sangetsar Lake
Excursion to Bum La (Indo-China border) and Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake with an inner permit.
Day 6Tawang to Dirang / Bomdila
Return drive with photo stops, visit Bomdila Monastery and viewpoint.
Day 7Bomdila to Guwahati / Tezpur
Long descent to the plains, stop at Nameri or Tipi Orchidarium.
Day 8Departure
Transfer to Guwahati airport / railway station.
